What we collect, why we keep it, and what stays on your church computer.
Effective 25 August 2026.
This policy describes how Lyrics Presentation (“we”, “us”) handles information on this website and in connection with the Lyrics Presentation software. It is written for churches, volunteers, and anyone who visits the site or signs up to hear about the product.
The software runs on your computer
Lyrics Presentation is local software. Songs, source text, slides, service sets, and settings live on the machine where you install or run it, unless you copy or export them yourself. We do not receive your lyric library, OBS scenes, or presentation output through ordinary use of the application.
If a later version adds optional online features, we will update this policy before those features collect anything new.
What this website collects
You can read the public pages without creating an account.
When you use the site, our host may record ordinary server logs, which can include:
- IP address
- Date and time of the request
- Pages or files requested
- Browser and device information sent by your browser
- Referring URL, if your browser sends one
We use logs to operate the site, diagnose errors, and keep it secure. We do not use advertising cookies or sell traffic data. We do not run a third-party analytics or advertising pixel on these pages.
Sign-up and email
If you submit the sign-up form, we store the information you provide: email address, and optional name, church, and note. We use that to include you as the product takes shape, to reply to you, and to understand what churches need. Notes are optional; write only what you are comfortable sending.
If you email support@lyricspresentation.com, we keep that correspondence long enough to help you and to keep a record of the request.
We do not sell mailing lists, sign-up records, or support mail.
How we share information
We may share information with the hosting provider that runs this website, and with people who operate Lyrics Presentation, only as needed to run the site and the project. We may disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect the site, our users, or others from harm.
Links to other sites (including OBS and FreeShow) are not covered by this policy. Their rules apply there.
Retention and security
Server logs are kept for a limited time as part of ordinary hosting. Sign-up records and support mail are kept while they are useful for the project or for a conversation with you, then deleted or archived when they are no longer needed.
We take reasonable steps to protect information we hold. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
Your choices
Email us to ask what we hold about you, to correct it, or to ask us to remove you from the sign-up list. We may need enough information to find your record (usually the email you used).
Children
This site and the software are meant for churches and adult operators, not for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes
We may update this policy as the product or the site changes. The effective date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the site after an update means you accept the revised policy.
